Emergency services are responding to a serious single vehicle crash on State Highway 4, Owhango in Ruapehu District reported around 3:55pm.
At least one person is seriously injured.
The road is due to be closed from Waitea Branch Road and diversions will be put in place.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
