One person has died following a crash on State Highway 8, Tekapo earlier this afternoon.
Police were called to the single vehicle crash at 3:17pm.
One person died at the scene, a second person has sustained moderate injuries.
State Highway 8/Fairlie-Tekapo Road remains closed while the Serious Crash Unit attend the scene.
