Attribute to Inspector Jason Homan:

Police can advise an earlier incident in Auckland Central has now been resolved.

Two people are assisting Police with enquiries following a report a firearm was allegedly seen earlier this morning at an address on Hobson Street.

Due to the nature of the report, specialist Police units attended.

Charges are currently being considered.

No injuries have been reported and we do not believe there is an ongoing risk to the public in relation to this matter.

Cordons have since been stood down on Hobson and Union Streets, however a number of Police remain in the area as enquiries continue.

We thank the public for their patience while this incident was resolved.

ENDS.
