Police can now advise that a motorcyclist has died following a crash on State Highway 30 near the intersection with Luxton Road, Awakeri.
The crash, involving a car and a motorcycle, was reported to Police at 5.50pm.
The road remains closed while the Serious Crash Unit examines the crash scene.
Motorists are asked to continue taking alternative routes where possible.
