Police are responding to a two vehicle crash on Evenden Road, near Pakowhai Road, Tomoana, Hastings.
The crash was reported around 10am and one person is in a serious condition.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
Evenden Road is closed between the Hawkes Bay Expressway and Pakowhai Road, and will likely be so for the next couple of hours.
Motorists are advised to avoid the route and expect delays.
