Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on State Highway 26, Tirohia involving two vehicles.
The crash was around 4:35pm and one person is in a critical condition.
Traffic management is in place in the area and the Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible.
