State Highway 6, north of Punakaiki, is closed following a crash.
The two-vehicle crash was reported to Police at 1:42pm.
Initial indications are that there are serious injuries.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, and expect delays.
The Serious Crash Unit has been notified.
