UDL welcomes Corey Hebberd and Kevin Angland to the Utilities Disputes (UDL)|Tautohetohe Whaipainga  Board.
Corey Hebberd is Kaiwhakahere Matua (General Manager) for Te Tauihu iwi Rangitāne o Wairau, and a director at Manu Ora Health. Corey worked for electricity network company Marlborough Lines for over seven years and has whakapapa to Rangitāne, Ngāti Apa, Ngāti Kuia, Te Ātiawa and Ngāi Tahu. Until recently, Corey chaired the Wellington division of the Cancer Society and sat on the Cancer Society’s national board. Corey is the recent winner of the 2023 Marlborough Business Person of the Year.
Kevin Angland is a customer transformation advisor at SAP, and a non-executive Director at Unity Credit Union and Banzpay. He spent several years as a director at the Electricity Retailers’ Association of New Zealand, and GM Retail & Digital with Mercury NZ until 2021.
“We are delighted that Corey and Kevin are joining our Board,” says Hon Heather Roy, Chair of the UDL Board. “Corey knows us well having been a former future director with the UDL board. Kevin brings with him wide ranging governance experience in the energy sector and transformation skills.”
The Board has also appointed a future director for 12 months. Richard Willis was a co-founder at Flick Electric and specialises in general management, sales and marketing, startup operations and new business development. “We are excited to work with Richard,” says Heather Roy.
After six and five years respectively with UDL, Brian McCulloch and Mark Gatland are stepping down as their terms expire. “Brian was appointed an independent director to the Board in 2017 during a time of change and growth. His financial skills have been impressive and greatly appreciated. In 2018 Mark brought his strategic vision and extensive expertise in the sector from his time as CEO at Northpower. I thank them both for making enormous contributions to the ongoing success of UDL,” said Heather Roy.
