Name release: Body found, Mohaka River

Police can now release the name of the person whose body was located near the Mohaka River mouth, south of Wairoa.

He was Matthew Knight, from Te Awamutu, who was 19-years-old when he went missing on 9 October.

Police are working to support Matthew’s family at this difficult time.

The matter has been referred to the coroner.
