An independent panel has approved a resource consent, subject to conditions, for the Unitec Residential Development – Carrington Megalot Subdivision project to subdivide land on Carrington Road in Point Chevalier, Auckland.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development applied for resource consent under the COVID-19 Recovery (Fast-track Consenting) Act 2020. The application involves subdividing seven existing lots into seven new mega lots for development and five potential open space lots.

The decision comes 75 working days after the application was lodged with the Environmental Protection Authority. This does not include when the application processing was suspended at the applicant’s request.
