A Mt Roskill resident sensed something was up and it proved correct, after an arrest overnight.

Police, including the Eagle helicopter, responded to reports of suspicious activity just before midnight Auckland City West’s Acting Area Commander, Inspector Wayne Kitcher says.

“This man was reportedly moving through people’s properties on Stamford Park Road at the time and a resident called 111.

“Our staff responded to the area where Eagle was able to guide staff on the ground to the man’s whereabouts.”

A 54-year-old man was arrested by Police.

The man was wanted to arrest for a breach of release conditions, and he will now face court.

“I would like to acknowledge our community who continue to report suspicious activity to us, so that our staff can respond,” Inspector Kitcher says.
