Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on State Highway 5 near Tapapa.
The single vehicle crash was reported to Police at 8.50pm.
At least one person is reported to have critical injuries.
The road is expected to be closed for some time and motorists are advised to take alternative routes where possible.
