Emergency services are responding to a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 5, Ngatira (near Waiohotu and Galaxy Roads).
Police were notified of the crash at about 6.40am.
Initial indications suggest two people have sustained injuries.
The road is currently closed. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are underway.
