Police are now able to confirm one person has died, following the earlier crash on SH 2 this morning.
Police responded to the crash at around 6.30am.
Sadly, one person died at the scene.
A second person received serious injuries in the crash.
We extend our condolences to their families at this difficult time.
The road has now reopened.
Motorists are thanked for their cooperation and patience while emergency services staff attended the scene.
