SH2 is currently closed in both directions, just north of Matawai, following the truck rolling over.
The fuel tanker has blocked both the north and southbound lanes.
Emergency services are enroute to the site and there are no reports of any spillages from the truck or of any injuries.
There is currently no estimated time of reopening, but Waka Kotahi is continuing to monitor the situation.
We understand this will cause delays for people travelling along that stretch of road between Gisborne and Ōpōtiki.
