Information sought following dangerous driving incident, Wellington

Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed a serious crash on Saturday, 11 March.

Prior to the crash, two motorcycles were seen travelling at excessive speeds, south of the Wellington Urban Motorway, near the Murphy Street off-ramp.

Shortly after, one of the riders hit another vehicle.

The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and seriously injured.

The second rider did not stop and was seen exiting the motorway using the Hawkestone Street off-ramp.

Police would like to speak to the second rider.

It is possible the second rider is not aware a crash occurred. 

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information about the riders involved.

If anyone has CCTV or dashcam footage of the crash, Police would also like to hear from you.
