State Highway 28 Harwoods Road is closed between Okoroire Road and Te Poi South Road while emergency services respond to a crash reported shortly after 5pm.
A truck and trailer unit has overturned and is blocking the road. No injuries are reported.
The road will be closed for some time while the crash is cleared. Diversions are in place and motorists are asked to avoid the area and expect delays.
