Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on Mokoreta Tahakopa Road, Southland.
Police were notified of the single vehicle crash at about 6.35am.
Initials indications suggest one person has sustained critical injuries and another person has sustained serious injuries.
The road has been closed while emergency services respond. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are underway.
