Police can confirm a person has died following a crash between a car and a motorbike on Mt Eden Rd near the intersection with Mt Albert Rd earlier this morning.
Shortly after 7am emergency services responded to the crash where the motorcyclist had sustained critical injuries.
Sadly, the driver of the motorbike died in hospital.
The incident will be referred to the Coroner.
