A 23-year-old man is due to appear in Hamilton District Court today charged with murder following the death of a woman in Ngaruawahia last night.
Police were called to reports of a serious assault at a Cavan Street address shortly before 9:30pm.
Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident.
