Rukuhia Road from SH3 to Gillard Road in Waipa district will be closed for several hours, likely overnight, following a collision involving a vehicle and a goods train.
There are no major injuries but the collision has caused a train derailment.
The road will remain closed while work to clear the scene is completed.
