One person has died following a crash on State Highway 2 at Turner Road earlier today.
Emergency services were notified of the single-vehicle crash at about 10.55am.
Sadly, the person died at the scene.
The road remains closed. Diversions are in place at Wainui South Road and Esdaile Road.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are underway.
