Police are now in a position to name the person who died following a vehicle incident on Florence Avenue in Orewa.
He was 41-year-old Joseph Hart.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 7 January in the Victor Eves Park car park.
Mr Hart was taken to hospital in a critical condition, but sadly died.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing and Police are not seeking anyone in relation to this matter.
Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and loved ones of Mr Hart.
Support is being provided to the family and we ask that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
