Police are advising of a serious crash in Gisborne.
It happened on Back Ormond Road shortly before 9:15pm.
Cordons are in place on Back Ormond Road at its northern end.
Motorists are still able to take State Highway 2, but are asked to avoid travelling in this area if possible.
