About 9.15pm, Police were called to the scene of a collision between a vehicle and motorbike, near the intersection of Riccarton Road and Hansons Lane.
A person has been taken to hospital with critical injuries and the Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
Traffic management is in place while emergency services work at the scene and motorists should avoid the area if possible.
