Police are now in a position to release the name of the deceased in Saturday’s fatal shooting on Puhinui Road, Manukau.
He was Daniel Eliu, 46, of Mangere East.
Police extend our condolences to Mr Eliu’s friends and whānau.
The investigation into his death is ongoing.
