Statistics from the Household Economic Survey for the year ended June 2022 will be published on 23 March 2023 – Media release

The Household income and housing-cost statistics and the Child poverty statistics releases for the year ended June 2022 will be published on 23 March 2023, Stats NZ said today.
This is a shift from the original release date of 23 February 2023 due to collection disruption and the need to undertake further analysis.
Every year from July to June, Stats NZ collects data from households across Aotearoa New Zealand in the Household Economic Survey (HES). The HES gathers information on income, savings, and expenditure to measure the economic wellbeing of New Zealanders, as well as to provide estimates of child poverty to meet the requirements of the Child Poverty Reduction Act 2018 (the Act).
