Some of New Zealand’s finest wineries are set to indulge Auckland and Aucklanders with their involvement in New Zealand’s newest and largest food, wine and design event this coming March.

INDULGE, New Zealand’s newest and largest food, wine and design festival, coming to Auckland in 2023 is excited to confirm the involvement of some of New Zealand’s best wineries including award-winners and up-and-comers.

For many New Zealanders, a trip to a winery or cellar door is a memorable event.  In March, thanks to INDULGE, wine lovers can experience the magic in the heart of Auckland City.  Some of New Zealand’s best-loved wineries from the length and breadth of New Zealand such as Bannockburn’s Akarua, Blenheim’s Te Pa and Waiheke’s Cable Bay, are joining New Zealand’s leading foodies in taking part in Indulge.

With the inclusion of these winemakers, INDULGE will transform Auckland’sWynyard Point and Jellicoe Harbour into a food, wine, and design extravaganza. Ticket holders will enjoy New Zealand’s great tastes, sounds and design inspirations over four days from 2 to 5 March 2023.

Urban Events Managing Director, Simon Wilson, is delighted to have so many quality brands involved, “We always envisioned INDULGE being an event that could both introduce Kiwi’s to new taste and sounds, but also celebrate many of the tried and true.  With this collection of wineries on board, we have both – some old favourites and some new ones that many people will not have come across before. It’s exciting.”

For the wineries it’s a chance to bring their offering to a new audience.  “It’s an unmissable opportunity for us to showcase some of our amazing award-winning wines in a really unique and fun way,” says Anna Bentley from the Hunting Lodge in Waimauku. “We love the idea of taking our product to the people and being part of an exciting and dynamic event that all New Zealanders can enjoy.”

Winery exhibitors already on board include Two Rivers, Akarua, The Hunting Lodge, Villa Maria, Te Pa, Waitiri Creek, The Uncommon NZ, Cable Bay, 495 Wine Direct and Mawhitipana Ridge Estate with many more to be announced.

Attracting visitors from around the country to the heart of Tāmaki Makaurau, the event is expected to host around 20,000 people over four days.

INDULGE is made possible thanks to commercial and media partner, NZME, and is also proudly supported by Tourism New Zealand and Auckland Unlimited.

Simon Wilson says, “We’re only just at the beginning.  We have more announcements to make, and the excitement will just keep building through spring and into summer!”
