Media are invited to the Wellington bar visits of the Don’t Guess the Yes campaign.

As we come into the holiday season, Police are cautioning partiers to have constant vigilance, and to behave in an appropriate manner throughout.

Police staff from the Adult Sexual Assault Team, Police Prevention Team, Wellington Area CIB and members of the Wellington City Council Hapai Ake team, will be meeting with bar staff/managers/owners to continue with providing education around the campaign, provide them with posters to put up around their bar, t.shirts for the staff and other promotional items. We will also be interacting with patrons across some bars to ensure they know about the campaign and provide education for them if they don’t.

Date: Friday 25 November, 2022
Time: 6pm – 7pm
Venue: Panhead, 1 Tory Street, Wellington
Speakers: Detective Senior Sergeant Jacqui Rodger from New Zealand Police and Wellington Publican Matt McLaughlin

Please send your RSVP to media@police.govt.nz confirming your attendance.
