Police can now confirm the identity of the person found deceased in the water in Auckland’s North Harbour on 9 November.
He was 60-year-old Wiremu Teohaere, who had left for a fishing trip earlier that day.
Our thoughts and condolences are with his family at this very difficult time.
Police are not seeking anyone else in regards to this incident.
