Mount Victoria Tunnel (State Highway 1) in Wellington has reopened just after 10 am this morning following a full closure due to protest action.
The route was closed for around one hour from just after 9 am for safety reasons, while protestors were above the Haitaitai entrance to the tunnel.
Waka Kotahi is thanking affected road users for their patience and cooperation during this incident.
