A second man has been charged in connection with a burglary at a central Auckland jewellery store on Tuesday morning.

This arrest follows an earlier apprehension by Operation Rhino staff of another man over the incident at the Queen Street store.

The 29-year-old man is also facing a burglary charge in the Auckland District Court.

While property from the store has been recovered, Police continue to encourage the public to be vigilant for new jewellery items being listed for sale on social media.

If they do come across items of interest, they are asked to contact Police via our 105 phone service or online at https://www.police.govt.nz/use-105.

ENDS.
