Emergency services are responding to a single vehicle crash on SH 2 on the Remutaka Hill where a vehicle has crashed into a bank reported around 1:50pm.
Initial indications suggest there are no serious injuries.
The vehicle is blocking the west-bound lane and traffic management is being put in place.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and postpone travel where possible.
