Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious crash near the intersection of Great South Road and Challen Close, Conifer Grove, involving a car and a pedestrian.
Police were called about 6.30pm.
Initial reports suggest one person has been seriously injured.
The road, including a section of Great South Road, will be closed while staff work at the scene.
Diversions will be in place.
Motorists should avoid the area, if possible.
