There is also a possibility of snow falling on Remutaka Hill.

Road crews will be on standby to deal with any events that may arise.

Although not expected, If a heavy snowfall occurs or high winds pose a danger to road users, there is a possibility that State Highway 2, over Remutaka Hill, will be closed.
