Emergency services are currently at the scene of a spill on Northgate (SH3), Fitzroy, New Plymouth.
Police were called about 12.30pm.
Traffic management is in place while the road is cleared and one lane is currently open.
There are extensive delays in the area and motorists are advised to take an alternate route if possible.
