Drugs and assets seized in Opotiki search warrant

Attributable to Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Wilson:

Eastern Bay of Plenty Police have today terminated an operation targeting the supply of methamphetamine in Opotoki.

The search warrant was executed as part of the ongoing focus on the supply of illicit drugs in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

A search warrant was executed at a Ford Street, Opotiki address today.

At the address Police located nearly $60,000 worth of methamphetamine, a firearm, ammunition and over $11,000 in cash.

A 39-year-old man was located and arrested at the address.

He is due to appear tomorrow in the Whakatane District Court.

Police are not ruling out further arrests.
