A person has died following an earlier serious crash in Waitara.
The crash occurred about 10:15am when a car went into the Waitara River at Waitara Bridge.
Emergency services remain at the scene while the vehicle is recovered.
Police cannot rule out the possibility of there being other people in the vehicle at this stage.
