Police are now able to confirm one person has died following a serious crash on SH 30, Awakeri this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the crash, involving a motorcycle, at around 5:30pm.
Sadly, the motorcyclist died at the scene.
Diversions will remain in place until the scene examination is complete.
Motorists should delay travel or seek an alternative route if possible.
An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
