SH 1 has reopened following an earlier serious crash in Levin this afternoon.
The two-vehicle crash, involving a car and a motorcycle, occurred at around 2:45pm.
The motorcyclist was flown to hospital with serious injuries.
Police thank motorists for their patience while emergency services responded to the crash.
