Emergency services are responding to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of SH45 and Ahipaipa Road, Manaia.
The crash was reported to Police at about 6.30am.
One person is reported to have injuries and a helicopter is en route to assist.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area or expect delays.
