Nelson crash investigation – appeal for CCTV/dash cam footage

Police investigating a fatal crash on Rutherford Street, Nelson on 13 March would like to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from Waimea Road that night.
 
The crash occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, killing 17-year-old Tielyr Saige Ayrton of Nelson.
 
Two passengers from the car remain in hospital in a serious but stable condition. 
 
This has been a really tragic event and our thoughts are with the families of Tielyr and the two injured passengers.
 
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing, with a number of witnesses yet to be spoken to.
 
As part of our enquiries, we would like to hear from anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage showing vehicles travelling along Waimea Road at around 1.35am, between the intersection of Tukuka Street and Rutherford Street.
