Additional Funding Requests – 2022 in-year amendments
Funding already allocated for 2022 is at its highest level ever. This is due to the significant increase in learners accessing tertiary education during 2021.
Due to TEC supporting providers with the significant increase in learners accessing tertiary education in 2021, all current funding has been allocated for a number of funds (eg, SAC and industry Training).
We are investigating how to repurpose money from other funds, and closely tracking under-delivery by specific institutions so any excess funding can be used to support any growth in 2022.
Following the April 2022 Single Data Return (SDR), we will have a better understanding of enrolment patterns and learner demand which will inform a potential additional funding process for 2022.
Further information will be available at a later date.
If you have any questions, please contact your Relationship Manager or the Customer Contact Group at customerservice@tec.govt.nz or 0800 601 301.

2022 additional funding template will be available following the April SDR.
