Whanganui Police appeal for witnesses to serious crash

Whanganui Police are appealing for information from the public in relation to a serious crash on 23 December 2021.
 
The crash, involving two cars, occurred at the intersection of Mosston Road and Hinau Street at around 7pm.
 
Three people were hospitalised as a result of the crash, one with serious injuries and two with moderate injuries.
 
The seriously injured person remains in hospital and is now in a stable condition. 
 
Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the crash and we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash who has not yet spoken to us. 
 
We are also aware that a number of people stopped to provide assistance to the victims at the crash scene but left before Police had a chance to speak to them.
 
We would like to hear from those people also.
