SH25, Waitakaruru has reopened following an earlier serious crash involving two vehicles.
The crash was reported to Police at around 1pm.
Four people received serious injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit has been in attendance and enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
Police would like to thank motorists for their understanding while emergency services were at the scene.
