Emergency services are in attendance at a serious crash on Kauaeranga Valley Road near Thames.
Police were called to a single vehicle crash around 3.15pm.
Two people have been injured in the crash.
One person is in a critical condition and another is seriously injured.
A section of Kauaeranga Valley Road has been closed due to the crash and will be closed for some time.
Police advise motorists to avoid the area if possible.
