Police are assisting Fire and Emergency NZ at a truck fire on the Waikato Expressway, Taupiri.
Police were notified at about 9:30pm and are assisting with traffic control.
No one is reported to have been injured in the incident.
Motorists travelling northbound are advised to take the Taupiri interchange and travel via the Huntly township to avoid traffic build up and significant delays.
The road is still open to southbound traffic.
