One person has died following a serious crash in Te Kuiti this afternoon.
Police were called to the scene on Te Kumi Road at 2.10pm this afternoon where a truck and car have collided.
One person has died and another person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit are examining the scene and the road remains closed.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
