Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on State Highway One, Tirau.
Police were notified of the crash, involving two trucks at the Tirau rail overbridge, around 3:30pm.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and delay travel if possible.
Diversions are in place and the road is expected to be closed for some time.
