Mr Meng Foon, New Zealand Race Relations Commissioner

Join the Auckland Council’s Ethnic Peoples Advisory Panel in a meeting themed around the Auckland Plan outcome Belonging and Participation.

Learn insights from Meng Foon, Race Relations Commissioner, and masterful relationship builder who comfortably walks alongside the diverse cultures that make up Tāmaki Makaurau and Aotearoa.

Meng Foon was the Mayor for Gisborne for 18 years and is New Zealand’s first Race Relations Commissioner of Chinese descent. He speaks fluent English, Cantonese and te reo Māori.
